Top Email Newsletters For Business Owners
Every single week, I receive a handful of newsletters to my inbox and I’m pretty crazy about maintaining inbox zero.
This means that the newsletters I stay subscribed to have been deemed worth it AND it means I have a filing system, so that all of my emails get read and organized accordingly.
I know a lot of people use a separate email account for the emails they subscribe to, but honestly I didn’t want another thing to manage, so I created a system that helps me filter all of my emails, so that every single one of them is either kept in its categorized folder OR it gets deleted.
Nothing sits in the main inbox – at least that’s the goal.
I don’t achieve this daily, but by Friday afternoon I try to make sure I’ve read everything from the week, filed it accordingly, responded to all messages that need my attention and then start fresh on Monday.
One of my favorite email folders is titled “Good Reads” and it never fails that almost every week the same newsletters get moved to this tab.
In case you’re in need of a few good reads of your own, I thought it was time to round up 10 of my absolute favorite newsletters that I’ve deemed subscribe-worthy!
Top Newsletters To Subscribe To For Creative Business Owners
Am I putting my own newsletter at the top of this list? You bet I am! Because let’s be real - if you aren’t your own biggest fan, who will be right?!
But bias aside, Notes From Natty isn’t your typical newsletter – it’s a running thread between us – a true note if you will with all kinds of blog writing tips, tricks, and resources to help you easily implement blogging in your business.
There's no set schedule and definitely no fluff. You’ll hear from me when I’ve got something to say about content marketing, online business, or something I'm learning that I think you should know too!
Mariah is my go-to SEO gal and after receiving and reading her newsletter for a few weeks, I knew that I (and my Writer’s Room members) needed to learn from her on a deeper level, so I invited her into my membership for a guest training and she did NOT disappoint.
A few months after that, I joined HER membership, Search Club, and it’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made for my business. I’ve learned so much about SEO and actually put it into action because she truly makes it SO simple!
But you don’t have to be in her program to get the SEO juice. Mariah sends SEO tips straight to your inbox weekly and it really is SO practical and actionable.
If you loathe looking at your marketing data, even though you KNOW it’s an important thing to do, Rebecca of Three Groves is someone you need in your life!
When I worked with Rebecca to create a Custom Analytics Dashboard, my life instantly became 10x more easier when it came to tracking and actually using my marketing data.
But even if you only subscribe to her newsletter and read her blog, you’ll get tangible data tracking tips that aren’t overwhelming and truly easy to implement!
The Duo Collective are another great source for all things SEO! Their Confetti Drop newsletter arrives in my inbox every Tuesday and always includes an approachable SEO tip that feels simple and easy to understand.
In addition to their Confetti Drop newsletter, they also send a quick SEO Squeeze every Friday that contains one actionable tip that you could literally implement right away, which I appreciate!
If you follow me on Instagram, have read my blog, or are subscribed to Notes From Natty, there’s a good chance you’ve heard me mention Sara at BTL Copy before! She’s one of the first people I found in the early days of Natty Writes and I’ve learned SO much from her.
I subscribed to Tuesday Table of Contents for the one marketing tip once a week, but I 100% stay for the stories. Sara is unfiltered and unashamed, but on top of the stories that always make me giggle, I also always know that I’ll want to save her newsletters to read when I have plenty of time to focus because I know I’m going to be taking notes.
And last but certainly not least is Act Break from Sarah Kleist. I first landed on her email list by opting into her genius To Done List Notion Template, but stayed for the brand and marketing advice.
What I love about Act Break is that Sarah keeps it short, simple, and to the point. Typically she tells a story or some sort of message that leads into her blog posts, which we knowwwww I love!
